Who We Are
Eileen Festin
Owner, Administrator
Eileen Festin has been a small business staff accountant for many years, and is excited to bring this management experience to the establishment of Windy Hill Fencing Center.
Eileen has been involved in Arizona fencing since her son took up the sport in 2nd grade. Along the way, she has provided significant administrative support to her son’s fencing coach and club growth.
Eileen was elected to Secretary of the AZ Division of USA Fencing and served from 2019 to 2023. In 2023 she was elected to the position of Vice-Chair of the AZ Division.
Serving on the executive board of the Arizona Division provides excellent insight into the fencing community in Arizona and its potential for growth.
Her service has fostered her interest and commitment to this amazing sport.
Jake Hillard
Coach
Jake Hillard began fencing in 2006 in Phoenix, AZ.
As an Arizona native, he has traveled the state competing in local tournaments. He has also competed out of state in all levels of fencing from collegiate to Nationals and Junior Olympics.
Jake has coaching experience through Arizona State University Fencing where he was the Epee Coach for three years until he graduated in 2017.
He currently manages a youth sports facility in North Scottsdale and has a lot of experience running camps of all ages and different sports.
Jake looks forward to working with you as you learn the fun and exciting sport of fencing!

Michael Festin
Coach
Michael Festin has enjoyed fencing instruction in Surprise, AZ since 2013.
With more than 10 years of fencing experience, Michael has also worked as an assistant coach for his club.
Additionally, in 2022 Michael earned referee certification.
Michael regularly competes in local, regional and national fencing competitions, including the Junior Olympic Championship and Fencing Summer Nationals.
Michael provides valuable leadership to younger fencers, through positive critique, and encouragement. He strives to bring the sport to as many people as he can, and has immense passion for fencing.
